County Colours for Kelsi!

Congratulations to our Year 10 student, Kelsi Ellis, who has received her County Colours for Athletics. Kelsi has enjoyed running from a young age and has represented the school and her club, Nene Valley Harriers, on many occasions. DSC_25651Kelsi’s name now appears on the role of honour on the Cambridgeshire Athletics Website as a County Colour holder. P1100072Mr. Brister, Kelsi’s PE teacher, says, ‘We are all really proud of Kelsi. This is a really difficult award to attain especially as Kelsi has competed in both Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire events. She has had to work doubly hard to achieve this recognition’.

Kelsi has not only excelled in the PE department at school, when last year she was awarded the Junior Victrix Ludorum Award, for the highest number of points at Sports Day, the John Hicks Sporting Excellence award and the KS3 Girl’s PE award, she also attained the KS3 awards for Music, Mathematics and Geography.

Kelsi’s next goal is to compete in the English Schools Athletic Association Track events. We wish you lots of luck, Kelsi for your future on the track.
