Ethan nominated for prestigious football award

Congratulations to our Year 7 student, Ethan Young, who has been nominated for 2015 Junior Footballer of the Year by The Peterborough Telegraph.

Ethan joined Stamford Welland Academy in September from Great Casterton Primary School, still visiting his former primary school to coach primary school children with One Touch. Ethan started with One Touch at the age of 3 and is now at the Development Centre for Nottingham Forest and Norwich. His coach, Glenn Vaughan, calls him the ‘The Left Footed Beckham’!ethan

Director of Sport at Stamford Welland Academy, Mr.Steve Bull praised Ethan for his commitment to sport, “Ethan has already thrown himself into all the sports on offer at Stamford Welland Academy, and is a very talented golfer, but you can see football is definitely his passion”.

The Academy is very proud to have such a promising young footballer in their midst and wishes him every success in his future endeavours with his passion and talent for football.
