We have been busy showing some of the local primary school children how enriching and exciting our parallel curriculum sessions can be. Known as ‘Session 6’, these sessions offer a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities through a timetabled programme over the year. These encompass traditional activities such as sports, music and additional subject support, and less traditional activities such as military self-defence, RockBand and Green Team, Duke of Edinburgh, World Challenge, Army Cadet Force, and Water Sports, as well as elite programmes in rugby, hockey, football, and netball.
Year 5 and 6 pupils from Malcolm Sargent, St. Gilberts, St Georges and Wittering Primary Schools have attended sessions this term including African Dance and Music and Whizz, Bang, Boom Science. We have found these sessions so popular that we plan to put on a programme throughout the year to allow local primary school children to experience opportunities in other areas. If your child is interested in attending, please email email@example.com for further information.
