Our Vision, Values & Mission
Stamford Welland Academy’s core values are Aspiration, Resilience, and Understanding, which underpin our teaching, learning, and overall school culture. The school aims to develop confident, well-rounded individuals through a nurturing environment that prioritizes high-quality education, strong pastoral care, and the "PLEDGES" character-building system.

At Stamford Welland Academy every child is known, valued and supported, to achieve above and beyond their potential. We combine the best educational practices in our taught curriculum, with the character-building opportunities afforded in our parallel curriculum.
Together, our taught and parallel curriculum develop our young people and prepare them for the future and life beyond Stamford. We adopt a ‘whole child’ approach to education and we have an uncompromising commitment to offer the very best level of pastoral care.
The community ethos we have created is tangible and our staff and students describe it as being part of ‘one big family’.
Our three school values of Aspiration, Resilience and Understanding underpin all that we do at Stamford Welland Academy and also forms the basis of our Teaching and Learning Path to Excellence.

We are committed to the promotion of British Values through our taught and parallel curriculum:
- Democracy, e.g. work with local councils, student leadership roles, school elections
- Rule of law, e.g. classroom expectations, support from and for local police, using restorative approaches to address conflict
- Individual liberty, e.g. making safe choices, knowledge of rights and responsibilities, challenging extremism
- Mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith, e.g. showing understanding to all at all times, promoting equality, challenging prejudice, anti-bullying charter, challenging prejudice, celebrating diversity, daily conduct and attitude
