Transition for Year 6 students
Welcome messages to our new Year 7 students
Year 6 Transition Days
We are delighted that your child will be joining us in September and look forward to
seeing them on the transition days at Stamford Welland Academy. Our Transition days this year will take place on Monday 6th & Tuesday 7th July 2026. We have listed some information for you & your child to help make the most of these transition days.
- Students must arrive by 08:30am to the main reception area
- Lunch will be provided on both days by the school, but we ask that all students bring a water bottle with them. This can be refilled in the school dining hall when needed. If your child has specific dietary requirements, please provide them with a packed lunch.
- All students are expected to come to the school in their primary uniform. Please make sure that your child is in the correct uniform on these days.
- Each morning will begin with an assembly with Mr Weller, Vice Principal, where students will be put into groups then sent off to their scheduled subjects.
Transition Evening:
Our parent and student transition evening date will be on Tuesday 7th July at 5pm. This will include an opportunity for you to meet your child’s tutor plus attending a talk with Mrs Lloyd & Mr Weller.
